When Memory Fades: A Benefit Concert for Memory Makers
Sunday, May 7 3 p.m. David H. Nutt Auditorium Oxford Civic Chorus presents "When Memory Fades: A Benefit Concert for Memory Makers." This concert is an important fundraiser for Memory Makers, a respite day program for people with dementia and their families and caregivers in Oxford. Featuring music from Daniel Elder, Dan Forrest, Elaine Hagenberg, John Michael Trotta and many others, all songs chosen for this concert center around memory loss and enduring love. It is sure to pull on your heartstrings! All proceeds will go to Memory Makers, which depends on donations to fund its operations. |

A Musical Mosaic
Sunday, April 23 5 p.m. North Greenwood Baptist Church The Greenwood Chorale and Oxford Civic Chorus come together in collaboration to present A Musical Mosaic, a performance featuring works by Elaine Hagenberg, Dan Forrest, John Michael Trotta, and others. This concert is a celebration of friendship and the joy of music between two communities in Mississippi. Free Admission. |

Wintertide Awakes
Sunday, December 4 3 p.m. David H. Nutt Auditorium “Wintertide Awakes” conjures the magic of falling snow and the miracles of Christmas. The concert includes traditional carols from Spain, Ireland, Austria and Wales, with a mix of Mendelssohn, Whitacre, Forrest and others, plus a version of the French “Bring a Torch,” arranged by co-director Creighton Holder. Free Admission. Donations accepted at the door to fund future performances. |

Veterans Day Choral Concert
Tuesday, November 9 7 p.m. The Ford Center FREE ADMISSION The University of Mississippi Chorus and the L-O-U Symphony Orchestra join Oxford Civic Chorus for a musical salute to veterans of the United States military. This community event features many patriotic favorites including “America, the Beautiful,” “Salute to the Armed Forces,” “My Country 'Tis of Thee,” “This is My Country,” and “God Bless America.” |
